PLEASE NOTE – WE DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM OUTSIDE OF MAINLAND UK AND WE DO NOT DELIVER TORTOISE ORDERS TO NORTHERN IRELAND, ISLES OR ISLANDS.

To enable us to book the animal courier for delivery within the same week, we need to have received your order and have confirmation of your preferred delivery date before 3pm on the Monday. You can leave a date request on the customer notes section when placing your order. Please order in plenty of time as there are a limited number of delivery slots and ordering at the last minute doesn’t guarantee delivery within the same week.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY BOOK THE NEXT AVAILABLE ANIMAL COURIER DELIVERY DATE, WE REQUIRE PRIOR AUTHORISATION FROM YOU REGARDING THE DELIVERY DATE BEFORE ANY BOOKINGS ARE MADE.

The animal courier delivery company will contact you directly on the day before delivery to provide an estimated time for your drop off. England, Wales and Lower Scotland will receive an approximate 2 hour delivery window notification. Aberdeen, Inverness and Higher Scotland areas will receive an approximate 4 hour delivery window notification.

On receiving your order, we will email to confirm receipt and also to confirm your preferred delivery date etc. All locations in England, Wales and Scotland are delivered on a Thursday.

Higher Scotland Deliveries

The animal couriers are able to deliver up to central Aberdeen and Inverness which will be a Thursday delivery and around every 4 – 5 weeks, please contact us for the next available run. This is typically the last Thursday of the month. Delivery locations up to DD8 Dundee will be made on a weekly basis, deliveries north of this will be around every 4 – 5 weeks.

SOME REMOTE LOCATIONS IN SCOTLAND (POSTCODES AB, IV, PA, PH, HIGHLANDS etc) MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE DELIVERIES DIRECTLY TO A HOME ADDRESS BUT ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE TO MEET THE DRIVER AT AN AGREED LOCATION SUCH AS GREENOCK, INVERKIP, CASTLE DOUGLAS, CENTRAL ABERDEEN, CENTRAL INVERNESS ETC. PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES.

Transportation of tortoises will be via a transport safe livestock box with sufficient air holes and adequate substrate to keep them comfortable and calm at all times. During the cooler months your tortoise will be sent with a travel heat pouch to ensure the temperature stays at a comfortable level.

Delivery Costs

All orders containing a tortoise will be delivered by the animal couriers only, we do not deliver the tortoises ourselves. The delivery charge payment must be paid in full before delivery.

England and Wales is charged at £60 (Thursday delivery only)

Scotland is charged at £65 (Thursday delivery only)

Deposits for reserving items can be paid via bank transfer using your name as the reference (please contact us first for confirmation of product availability). ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

Product Delivery

Free delivery on all orders of £35 and over (Not including Indoor Housing, Outdoor housing, Tortoise Packages or Tortoises)

Orders of £34.99 and under will incur a £4.95 (+ VAT) postage and packaging charge. (Heating and Lighting, Food and Supplements, Bowls and Hides etc)

All Indoor Housing (without a tortoise), Outdoor Housing and bulk Substrates will be subject to a £10.95 (+VAT) postage and packaging charge due to their large size and weight.

PLEASE NOTE – WE DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UK AND WE DO NOT DELIVER PRODUCT ORDERS TO NORTHERN IRELAND, ISLES OR ISLANDS.

Items are delivered via APC, DPD, Hermes, TNT or Royal Mail/Parcel Force however we may also use other professional courier delivery services to ensure that all products are delivered in a timely manner to you, the customer. Please allow up to 3 working days for goods to arrive.

* Product orders placed from Monday up to 1pm on Thursday will be despatched for next day delivery wherever possible. Orders place after 1pm on Friday will be despatched on Monday for next day delivery wherever possible.

We aim to despatch items that are ‘in stock’ within 2 working days from the purchase being completed and full payment received. Items that are ‘out of stock’ may take longer. If an item is ‘out of stock’ and no longer available to us within a reasonable timeframe, we will offer you an alternative item of a similar price and nature with no obligation to accept or a full refund if you prefer.

All items/products will be in a new, unused condition and appropriately packaged for safe transport. All delicate items such as bulbs and other lighting products will be checked before packaging to ensure that they are in full working order and suitable for sale. Orders received must be checked upon delivery. If there are any discrepancies with your order, this must be reported to us within 7 working days of receipt of goods.

PLEASE NOTE – We do not take responsibility for missing parcels if you have requested a diverted parcel service for the delivery address such as a Parcelly Store, AddressPal, PO BOX or similar.
